Privacy Policy
This page covers the Android app co.passyou.dualbound2.
Summary
The game has no account and no sign-in, and never asks for your name, email address or contacts. Your game progress is saved only on your phone. The game uses two services run by Google: Google Analytics for Firebase, to measure how the game is played, and Google AdMob, to show ads. There is no crash reporting and there are no purchases. The game requests the Internet permission on Android for these two services.
What the game stores on your device
The game saves its data in the app’s own storage on your phone: your settings (language, sound, effects, vibration), stage progress and continue data, scores and records, the items you own such as stars, tickets, gear and skins, and your trophies, daily tasks and weekly challenge. None of it identifies you. It never leaves your phone; we cannot see it and cannot restore it. Uninstalling the game or clearing its storage deletes it.
If you make a backup file or save a result image in the game, it is written to your phone’s Download/Dualbound or Pictures/Dualbound folder. If you share a result image, Android’s share sheet sends it only to the app you pick.
Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
From version 1.0.3, the game uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count how it is played. It sends only what the Firebase SDK collects on its own — the game itself adds no events:
- the first time the game is opened, when sessions start and how long the app is open
- when an ad from Google AdMob is shown or tapped
- the app version, device model and operating system, and an approximate location (country or region) that Google works out from the connection
To count devices, the Firebase SDK creates a random app-instance ID for each installation. Firebase is set up not to collect the Android advertising ID (only the ad service below uses it). We use these statistics only to improve the game and to see which store links bring players. We do not sell them.
Ads (Google AdMob)
The game offers optional reward ads (to replay a stage after a loss, to get bonus stars after a cleared stage, to get stars in the shop or on the home screen, or to reroll the skill or relic choices) and shows a full-screen ad after some games. There are no banner ads.
When the game starts, users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for their choices about ads and data through a consent form from Google (User Messaging Platform). You can play either way. To answer the form again, clear the game’s storage in Android settings (this also deletes your progress unless you made a backup file first).
To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects the IP address (which may be used to estimate the general location of the device), your interactions with the app and its ads, diagnostic information about the app and the SDK, and device identifiers such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID. Google describes this in its data disclosure for the SDK and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings.
Who receives data
The only third party that receives data from the game is Google, through the two services above. Google processes it under the Firebase privacy and security terms and the Google Privacy Policy. We do not sell data, and we do not run a server for game data.
What the game does not do
No account, no sign-in, no chat and no online play. Two-player mode is on one phone. No crash reports are collected. No precise location, contacts, camera or microphone are accessed. There are no in-app purchases.
Children
The game is not directed at children. It does not ask anyone, including children, for a name, contact details or other personal information.
Changes
If a future version starts collecting or sharing other data, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change.
